I love to cook. My husband — He Who Must Be Fed — loves to eat. We’re a perfect match.
Of course, my mother kind of predicted that. She told me when I was a little girl that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. I’m sure many little girls in the early 1970s and earlier heard this same piece of advice from their mothers.
However, I would also take what my mother said one step further by adding, “Never underestimate the restorative power of food.” In other words, the way to anyone’s heart is through his or her stomach. Because taking the time to make something delicious – whether it’s dinner or dessert or anything in between – shows a person you care.
So, I will use this space to discuss cooking and eating and the love of both.
I will share the great recipes and ideas I try and any other cooking- and eating-related ideas I come across. I hope you will share with me as well.
After all, we foodies have to stick together, right?
